| Ok some maybe technically it is. however a site is usually used to promote, inform or entertain. I prefer to think of this as a jumble of ideas the either once did or still do interest me. Some of these thoughts have even inspired me enough to make links to them, but mostly this is a storage container much like that jar of stuff on the kitchen bench. If you are a client or after something in particular mail me and I'll send you a link and any necessary login info. But you are a multimedia developer surely you should have a cutting edge web site.. Well I once thought this but then I asked myself the very first question I ever ask anyone else "what do you want this site to do for you ?". My answer was "Um I don't know, just though I should have one". The truth is I'm not in the least bit motivated to spend the time and effort on a site , when I would much rather spend that time on projects I'm passionate about. I get my work form previous contacts and word of mouth and much of my most recent and best work has been collaborative efforts with other individuals or organisations and as such not suitable for portfolio work. So If you, like me, ask your self "Do I really need a web site ?" and if like me the answer is no then you can throw off the shackles of the style over content web site and free yourself of the burden maintaining and updating. Use the technology don't let it use you.
And I maintain this is not a web site.
